Lemongrass essential oil, Hydrodiffused, Haiti is sometimes referred to as West Indian Lemongrass. Distinctly different than Cymbopogon flexuosus it has a fine pleasant aroma with strong citronellal notes but is not as sweet. Unlike the East Indian Lemongrass it contains myrcene and has slightly less citral. These factors significantly impact aroma.

The herb is most popular in Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Cambodia and Indonesia and as far as African and American continents for its culinary and medicinal uses. Lemongrass herb has numerous health benefiting essential oils, chemicals, minerals and vitamins that are known to have anti-oxidant and disease preventing properties.

Lemon grass oil is used in massage therapy as a muscle and skin toner. Few Words of Caution: It is likely to irritate skin and produce other types of irritations, too. It should be avoided during pregnancy.

Blending: Lemongrass Essential Oil goes well with essential oils of Basil, Cedar Wood, Coriander, Geranium, Jasmine, Lavender, Lavandin and Tea Tree.

Lemongrass is quite popular as an insect repellent due to its insecticidal properties. It kills insects and also keeps them away.
